(Richland County, SC)-- A criminal assault case against a former Richland County deputy is now dismissed.
Kyle Oliver was facing an assault and battery charge for an incident in January of 2020 in which Oliver pulled a suspect down by her hair.
The case was dropped Tuesday when the alleged victim didn't show up to court.
Oliver was fired in September of 2020 and civil litigation connected to the case ended in a 72-thousand dollar settlement.
