Over 200 Calls Made To SCDPS During Hurricane Ian

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Public Safety says troopers responded to over 200 calls during Hurricane Ian last week. 

S-C-D-P-S said those calls came in between 6 p.m. on September 30th and noon on October 1st. 

Residents had been urged to stay off the roads as they were warned the storm would bring dangerous conditions to the state with high winds and flooding. 

The state didn't see any fatalities resulting from Hurricane Ian.
