(Colleton County, SC) - The double murder trial for former attorney Alex Murdaugh resumes in Colleton County today.
Murdaugh is accused of killing his wife Maggie and son Paul in June of 2021.
On Thursday, an officer testified that Murdaugh mentioned his son's boating accident as soon as the officer arrived on scene.
In that 2019 accident, Murdaugh's son Paul was allegedly driving the boat while under the influence, killing 19-year-old Mallory Beach.
The officer testifying said Murdaugh, at the crime scene, said Paul had been receiving threats after the boat wreck.
