(Hampton County, SC)- A reward is now being offered for information about the 2015 death of Stephen Smith in Hampton County.
SLED reopened their investigation into Smith's death in 2021 due to information collected during the investigation into the deaths of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh in Colleton County.
The new 35-thousand dollar reward is being offered for information leading to the identification and conviction of those responsible for Smith's death.
It is being funded by a GoFundMe set up by Smith's mother.
Representation for the family announced Sunday that Smith's body has been exhumed.
