SC Supreme Court Unseals Documents Related To Jeroid Price's Early Release

(Columbia, SC) - The South Carolina Supreme Court is unsealing documents related to a convicted killer's early release from prison.

Jeroid Price killed a college student at a Columbia nightclub in 2002 and was expected to serve 30 years before being eligible for parole.

Price was released from prison in March and, according to the newly unsealed documents, it was because Price reportedly helped the Department of Corrections by notifying them of a dangerous inmate who escaped.

Attorney General Alan Wilson says Price's release did not follow proper procedure and that his office is certain the order to release Price is void.
