(Lexington County, SC)- The Lexington County Council is considering a vehicle tax or road user fee.
If the plan moves forward, the tax would be issued for every registered vehicle in Lexington County.
The money collected by the tax would pay for road maintenance.
This plan is being considered after over half of the voters in the county opposed a penny sales tax on the November ballot that was aimed at paying for road improvements.
