A man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for sexually assaulting a University of South Carolina student.
Forty-one-year-old Robert Drayton was found guilty of breaking into the victim's apartment and attacking her in April of 2021. He was sentenced late last week to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The solicitor's office says Drayton was identified as the suspect by witnesses and was connected to the crime by DNA.
