(Richland County, SC)- A status conference is being held today in connection to Alex Murdaugh's attempt to get his murder conviction thrown out.
His defense team accuses the Colleton County Clerk of Court of tampering with the jury before Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife and son.
This morning in the Richland County Judicial Center, the judge presiding in the case will meet with the defense and prosecution to set ground rules for upcoming hearings.
Those hearings will then happen starting January 29th to determine if Murdaugh should receive a new trial.
