Lawmakers Reach Agreement On Permitless Carry Gun Bill

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina lawmakers are reaching an agreement on a permitless carry gun bill.

After different versions of the proposed legislation passed the Senate and House, legislative negotiators met Tuesday. 

They agreed the bill would allow adults 18 and older to carry loaded handguns openly without a permit or training. 

The House approved the bill in an 86 to 33 vote Tuesday, with the Senate expected to vote today.
