(Sumter County, SC)- A baby is in critical condition after its mother was shot and killed in Sumter County.
Police say a 44-year-old shooting suspect was waiting for the woman and another victim at a motel Saturday morning.
Troy Cornelius Wells is accused of firing rounds into their vehicle, killing 33-year-old Jennifer Marie Cruz- who was 35 weeks pregnant.
The baby survived delivery and the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
