(Columbus, SC)-- Viewers across the country appear to have been drawn in by the Gamecocks' pursuit of perfection.
Nielsen yesterday released the TV ratings for Sunday's USC-Iowa women's national championship basketball game. The game drew an average crowd of 18-point-7 million viewers, and it drew a peak crowd of 24 million.
It was the most-watched basketball game, men or women, pro or college, in five years. It was also the most-watched women's college hoops game since 1992.
If you can't get enough of the champs, the city will hold a parade Sunday at 2:00 pm on Main Street.
