(Columbia, SC) - The South Carolina Senate is advancing a 15.8-billion dollar budget.
The plan includes 200-million dollars in salary increases for teachers. It also includes pay raises for state employees and sets aside money for road and bridge repairs.
Now that the House and Senate have approved versions of the budget, a bipartisan group will meet to reconcile the differences.
