Alex Murdaugh's son "Buster" is suing several media groups over how he was portrayed in shows, movies, and newspaper articles.
Richard Alexander "Buster" Murdaugh, Junior filed a complaint against several companies- including Netflix and Warner Media- in court in Hampton County. He alleges the portrayals were defamatory because they allegedly accuse Buster of being involved in Stephen Smith's death.
This comes after SLED reopened the investigation in Smith's 2015 death in 2023, ruling it a homicide.
