(Colleton County, SC)-- Lawyers for Alex Murdaugh are appealing to the South Carolina Supreme Court.
In March of 2023, Murdaugh was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for the murders of his wife and son.
Murdaugh's lawyers allege the former Colleton County Clerk of Court tampered with the jury in the case -- but in January, a judge determined there was not enough evidence for Murdaugh to get a new trial.
Now, Murdaugh's team wants the state's highest court to review that decision.
