(Columbia, SC)-- South Carolina voters are setting a new early voting record.
The South Carolina Election Commission reports around 125-thousand people cast a ballot on the first day of the early voting period on Monday.
That's the highest number of votes cast on one day of early voting. It breaks the previous record of 70-thousand votes in November of 2022.
Early voting ends November 2nd.
