(Columbia, SC) - A woman serving time for the death of her sons is asking the state to release her on parole this week.
Susan Smith was found guilty of drowning her two young children in Union County in 1994.
She is eligible for parole on Wednesday after being sentenced to life 30 years ago.
On Monday, hundreds of people sent letters opposing Smith's potential release.
