The South Carolina Board of Education will remove several books from public schools.
On Tuesday, the board was presented with information about books that citizens submitted complaints about. They decided to remove books that had examples showing they violated the regulation that prevents books from describing sexual content.
Those books included "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, "All Boys Aren't Blue" by George M. Johnson, "Flamer" by Mike Curato, and "Push" by Sapphire.
