A judge is giving Dylann Roof more time to file for a new trial.
After being formally sentenced to death, Roof asked the judge to extend the amount of time he can file for a new trial from 14 days to 90. The judge granted a 30-day extension.
Yesterday, the judge made the death sentence official after a jury delivered their sentencing decision on Monday.
Roof was convicted last month of planning and killing nine worshipers at Charleston's Emanuel AME Church during a Bible study in June 2015.
