USC's head baseball coach is releasing a statement about a recruit's sudden death.
According to the statement, 16-year-old Brett Williams died yesterday from complications from an illness.
Coach Chad Holbrook said that Williams was a special kid with great character and work ethic, and that he would be deeply missed.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
