A letter from a Beaufort County teen is receiving some recognition from the White House.
Seventeen-year-old Ambriance Lamar's letter was chosen to be posted on the White House's website. Lamar's letter praised President Obama as being a champion for people with disabilities.
Lamar contracted West Nile at the age of two and spent years learning to walk again. She still does not have full use of her voice, and focused her letter on coming up with new ways for people with disabilities to communicate.
