A Clemson Ph.D. graduate is telling the story of her experience with President Trump's executive order banning travel from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Nazanin Zinouri has released a statement saying that she is unable to return to her job and home in Greenville after visiting family in Tehran.
Zinouri says she had all the proper visas and travel papers, but was denied boarding on a flight from Dubai International Airport to Washington, DC.
Several senators are attempting to intervene on her behalf, including South Carolina Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott. Zinouri's employer has started a fund to help her with legal expenses.
