Ruth’s Plant Shutdown

The state agriculture department has shut down a Chester food processing plant down, since the discovery of listeria. A number of Ruth's Salads products have been recalled.

The department revoked the license to prepare food at that plant, and warning consumers, any product labeled "packed by B & H Foods should not be eaten, and instead, returned for a full refund.

This includes the original pimento spread in the 7-12-and-24 ounce size, and the popular 12-oz cream cheese with pineapple- pecans spread, among others. Distribution includes the Carolinas, and 6 other states.

No illnesses have been reported.
