A man in Myrtle Beach is facing charges because authorities say he was planning to commit an attack "in the spirit of Dylann Roof."
Benjamin Thomas Samuel McDowell was arrested yesterday after buying a gun from an undercover FBI agent.
Officials say 29-year-old McDowell has connections to a white supremacy group that he established while in prison in South Carolina.
McDowell has posted several racist messages on social media and told an undercover agent that he wanted to commit a large-scale attack on non-whites.
