A fight between inmates and correctional officers is responsible for the facility being placed on lockdown.
A spokesperson with the state department of corrections says the Broad River Correctional Facility on Broad River Road was locked down Friday night after two inmates attacked two staffers.
The officers were treated and released. The conflict was quickly resolved and an investigation is underway. No one has been charged so far.
