Tougher Enforcement For School Bus Passers Approved By Senate Panel

A bill making laws tougher on drivers who illegally pass school buses is moving on to the Senate Transportation Committee. The bill would change how tickets are issued and raise the fines.

Officials hope increased enforcement will bring down the number of violations. The bill passed the subcommittee last term but did not have time to make it through the full Senate and House.
