Lexington One Grapples With Population Increases

With more neighborhoods popping up on Lexington's east side, school administrators with Lexington One have formulated a plan to shift about 200 students each to three other schools each this fall.

Meadow Glen, Elementary and Middle schools' students will be farmed out to Midway and Providence Elementary, while Lexington Middle would accept the Meadow Glen Middle School students.

This change is only a temporary solution as officials say they are "seriously overcrowded." however, Carriage Hill Lakes parents aren't happy with this plan, and are calling for re-alignment.

They're also asking for the changes to be delayed, going in effect, a year from this fall, so they can be better prepared.
