The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car crash that occurred about 7:30, last night, closing down both directions of i-77 near Forest Drive, for hours.
One person died, and two others were injured in the head-on collision. A car was southbound, crossed the center line, and struck a Chevy van.
The driver of the Crown Victoria was killed, and their passenger was taken to Palmetto Health Richland with life-threatening injuries.
The van's driver was also hospitalized.
