Part of USC's celebration after the post-game activities in Dallas last night, was the Carolina flag being hoisted above the Statehouse dome.
The tradition began in 1981, with Clemson's football title, then again, back to back in 2010 & 11 for USC's baseball team. The Gamecocks join Coastal Carolina; who took the College World Series last June and Clemson who won the football crown in January.
Today at 4, Colonial Life Arena is the place to be to formally celebrate the title - doors will open at 3. An expected parade in the next few days, is also in the planning stages.
The university has canceled all undergrad classes beginning after 3:10 today , with graduate classes at the faculty member's discretion.
