State law enforcement officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting in downtown Charleston.
The shooting happened yesterday afternoon in the 200 block of King Street. Police responded to a drug deal turned robbery and shot at a suspect who accelerated toward officers.
Police are not sure if the suspect was hit by the gunfire. The officer has been put on administrative leave while officials consider any violations of policy.
