Three Greenville County deputies are cleared of charges related to the killing of a man during a traffic stop in February.
Attorneys decided they couldn't prove without a doubt that the officers had acted criminally. The county solicitor closed the case after they reviewed footage from the incident.
The deputies asked the man to get out of his vehicle and when he refused, they tried to physically remove him. During that altercation, the deputies say they saw a gun and two of the officers fired in defense.
The gun was retrieved from the scene, as well as two syringes and meth. The man's autopsy revealed high levels of meth in his system.
