Long-Time Five Points Favorite Harper's Restaurant Unexpectedly Shuts Down

Many people are out of a job after the Midlands staple Harper's Restaurant abruptly closed its doors.

Without notice, the restaurant that has been in Five Points for 27 years shut down yesterday.

One employee showed up yesterday to the notice of closure after 22 years of working at Harper's.

In an interview with "The State," the owner of the restaurant said that changes in dining trends and in the area prompted the difficult decision to close.
