A former North Charleston police officer is going to a pretrial this afternoon for a 2015 shooting that was caught on camera.
Sources say Slager is expected to plead guilty to at least one of the federal civil rights charges lodged against him.
Slager is charged with violating federal civil rights by killing Walter Scott without legal justification. A trial in December ended with a hung jury.
If he pleads guilty today, he could avoid a trial and possibly receive a lesser sentence.
