Investigators are looking into an accusation that two USC football players and one former Gamecock athlete assaulted a man at a Five Points bar last weekend.
The man says he approached the group to confront them about knocking his phone out of his hand and a fight broke out. Bartenders broke it up and the accused players left before authorities arrived on the scene.
The bar has video surveillance of the fight.
Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp said there has been false reports published about who was involved and the team is gathering information about the incident.
