SC Sets New Employment Record

The jobless rate in South Carolina has stayed the same over the past year, but employment numbers set a new state record.

The workforce grew by more than 9500-persons in March - the largest month-to-month job gains were in health services, education, utilities, transportation and the trade industries.

More than 2.2 million people are working, while the state labor force increased by nearly 10,000, to more than 2.3-million
