The Richland County Coroner has now identified the motorcyclist, fatally injured in a Saturday night crash, as 44 year old Maurice Shaw.
He was not wearing a helmet and died from the head trauma he received in the crash. According to officials Shaw collided with an oncoming car that turned left, in front of him, on Garners Ferry Road, near Crossing Creek Road.
He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The investigation continues.
