Former South Carolina House Majority Leader, Rep. Rick Quinn, Jr., has been indicted on one count of common law misconduct, and one count of statutory misconduct while in office.
He is also alleged to have sent business to groups associated with Richard Quinn & Associates totaling some $272-thousand dollars. Quinn is also alleged to have failed to disclose contributions and expenditures made to and from, the House Republican Caucus' operating account, which were improperly used for campaign purposes totaling just over $255,000-thousand dollars.
After the indictments were handed down, House Speaker Jay Lucas suspended Quinn from office.
Quinn says he's done nothing wrong, and will fight the charges. He's asking for a speedy trial so the entire matter may be resolved as quickly as possible.
