The driver killed in the wrong-way crash on I-20 early Monday morning has been identified as 38-year old Jamie Watson of Lexington.
Watson was traveling west in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 63 when his Nissan Altima crashed head-on into a tractor-trailer.
Watson, who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected from the vehicle. The truck driver was injured and taken to a hospital.
The early morning accident shut down parts of the interstate for several hours snarling bringing traffic to a standstill across parts of Lexington County.
