Two 17-year-old suspects are in custody after a tense moment in the Aiken High School parking lot yesterday afternoon.
They were allegedly in a verbal fight with a student at the high school and witnesses reported seeing a gun on one of the suspects to the school resource officer. When the officer went to the parking lot to confront the suspect, he fled from the school on foot.
He was later located, but police haven't recovered the gun. That suspect is charged with trespassing, failure to comply with a public safety officer and disturbing schools.
The other suspect arrested in the case is facing disturbing schools charges.
