The Richland One school district says it will cover the parking fees for people attending graduation ceremonies at the Colonial Life Arena through next week.
Three other school districts are using the facility for graduations through June 3, but haven't said if they'll cover the fees, too.
Some people are upset because the garages owned by the University of South Carolina around the building are charging attendees around five-dollars to park this year. In the past, parking has been free for these ceremonies.
Officials at USC say there's plenty of free parking in the area, as well as a free shuttle service.
