Members of the Second Nazareth Baptist Church are still trying to adjust to the news that their 22-year old Associate Pastor, Gene Autrey Morris, Jr., was arrested in connection with Saturday's fatal shooting in Finlay Park.
Authorities believe Morris brought an illegal firearm to the park and got into an argument with 37 year old Laron Martin. Martin suffered a fatal gunshot wound and died at the hospital. Morris left the scene without calling police.
He has been charged with the unlawful possession of a pistol, more charges could be filed.
