SC Budget Compromise Approved

After weeks of negotiations, a State House legislative panel has a budget compromise approved for an almost $8-billion dollar spending plan.

A partial breakdown shows $68-million dollars for Hurricane Matthew clean-up expenses, another $55-million is earmarked for K-12 school upgrades, and $150-million will augment the state's public worker's pension system.

This compromise is expected to be approved next week when the legislature returns for its special session.
