Anderson County deputies are mourning the loss of one of their own after a boating accident in Starr on Thursday.
The sheriff's deputies were on Lake Hartwell with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a training exercise. Reports say three people were thrown from the boat and when the boat came back around, the propeller struck Deputy Devin Hodges.
There were no other injuries reported, but two other people were taken to the hospital for shock. The county will fly flags at half-staff today in honor of the fallen deputy.
