The man suspected of dressing like a woman and robbing a Lexington Bank of America in late May is behind bars.
The Columbia man was apprehended in North Carolina. Authorities say the man dressed in a dress, colorful headscarf and sunglasses to disguise himself while robbing the bank.
He allegedly threatened a bank teller with violence and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
The Lexington police chief announced yesterday that the suspect will await a bond and extradition hearing scheduled for today in the North Carolina jail.
