Deslin Mitchell, 27, of West Columbia has been identified by the Richland County Coroner as the swimmer who drowned in the Saluda River behind Riverbanks Zoo Saturday.
Witnesses told investigators Mitchell went under the water Friday but never resurfaced. The RCSD dive team located his body just after 2 Saturday afternoon.
A second drowning victim was identified by the Lexington County Coroner as 43-year old William John Leeman whose body was pulled from the Saluda near Riverbanks Zoo Sunday.
