Officials say a buckle in the asphalt along I-26 in Lexington County caused a hole that backed traffic up for hours yesterday.
Highway Patrol called the problem a "roadway washout"- the Department of Transportation completed the fix and took up the cones just before 6 this morning.
Two lanes were blocked throughout the night on the eastbound portion of the interstate near mile marker 112.
