The owner of an the Edisto River Creamery and Kitchen in Orangeburg is receiving threats and racially charged mail about a Confederate flag that doesn't belong to him.
The previous owner of the shop deeded a portion of land to the Sons of Confederate Veterans and now he can't do anything about the giant flag flying above his ice cream shop.
Most recently, a letter came from New Jersey declaring that the, quote, "stars and bars [are] good for business" and said the flag deterred, quote, "those people."
