Part of a popular river is now off limits for those looking to beat the heat.
A swim advisory was issued yesterday for the Saluda River near Saluda Shoals Park due to high bacteria levels.
A sewage discharge last week from the Friarsgate Wastewater Treatment facility is being blamed for the high count.
Swim advisories are also in place at the Cayce Riverwalk and Granby Park.
