Memorial Service Held For Hootie Johnson

The man who chaired the most prestigious golf club in America is being remembered as a man who never forgot he was ordinary.

That's what Reverend Bradley Smith said yesterday at a memorial service for Hootie Johnson. The former chair of Augusta National Golf Club and founder of what became Bank of America died Friday at the age of 86.

Hundreds gathered at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbus to honor Johnson for his success but also his humility.
