Company's Plans Approved By County Officials

More than a hundred new jobs are a step closer to coming to Richland County.

The county council yesterday gave the final approval for an unidentified company to buy the 31 acres needed to open a manufacturing plant.

The county will sell space at the Carolina Pines Industrial Park in Blythewood for 150-thousand dollars.

The company is expected to invest about 85-million dollars and add 111 jobs.
