President Donald Trump is praising the UN decision to slap more sanctions on North Korea.
Trump tweeted yesterday, "Just completed call with President Moon of South Korea. Very happy and impressed with 15-0 United Nations vote on North Korea sanctions." The White House said President Moon Jae-In requested the phone call with President Trump, adding that both leaders are fully committed to "implement all relevant resolutions" against North Korea and urge the international community to do the same.
The UN Security Council, steered by UN Ambassador and former SC Governor Nikki Haley, voted unanimously Saturday to approve new sanctions that ban key North Korean exports which could cost the regime over a billion dollars a year.
